I share a memory with you…

Growing up, my parents loved to do things the long way when it came to vacations or recreational leisure. As a child, these were some of my fondest and closest memories that I will think back to forever. As you read on my storesite on my homepage, I go one about growing up in the country, and living in a owrld completely unaware that there was anything outside the diameters of our lil Pennsylvanian town in the mountains except for the beutiful landscapes of Maine, where my we would go to visit our family members who lived up north.

A fond memory that I often think of… and Love to re create  as often as I can, is, our fire ring in the back yard on summer nights. There is something about being a child that is so innocent, that the practice of something so much fun, is something that when gone without for too long, you grow up to miss. As a daughter born later in life in the family, most of the group gatherings around the fires in the yard ended when I got older, as family grew older, and my generation of the family started having lives of their own as well.  I think of those fires, listenig to a cross between country music and oldies- baking “Mountain pies” in the hot coals below. When it was time for bed, I would always sneek a peek of the adults from my bedroom window to see why it was always sooo important for me to go to bed ontime. As an adult, I was able to uncover all those secrets, as knowing that when “The kids go to bed” that was a time for our parents to let loose, and let “their” hair hang down. As a teenager, I remembered the parking lot being full, the ost beautiful of days, the games that adults as well as children would play such as egg battles, water balloons, and 3 legged races. The family would gather around the fireplace for as early on back as the old films on the reel were being used. We actually had to have them transferred to VHS in 80s, and eventually to DVD in the 90’s, whereas, I have a feeling in the newer era… we will soon be transferring them yet again to Blue Ray..lol.

In Today

Today was a good day. We finished the teeking of the sites new framework, and decided we would invest some time in the centerpieces that have been added to the site. The new clearance page has gone well, if you check it out make sure to hear the new acoustic guitar solo that I found this morning located at the bottom of the screen, its really a wonderful addition, as well as a “hard to find” rarity. So, aren’t the new wreaths so beautiful?? I have been telling you all about them for the last couple of weeks, and there are more I am sureto add, but in due time as they are not complete untill I add the final touches. I have been consistently doing research on different histories of, and medical practices done with aromatherapies as well. Today I mexed some more refresher oils, to add an exubrent scent when the completion of the line is in its full glory. I have been in contact with several specialty small business over the last couple of days that are sharing with me how to tweek the site to really show the wreaths true beauty, and am taking all their advice in stride. The centerpiece addition is coming a long better than expected, where as a lot of reservation questions are being asked reguarding bulk ordering for weddings and occasional events that people are planning… and the answer is YES, we are offering specialized bulk orders, however, it is useful to keep in mind that while they all may be similar in size, shape, and color, that no two look exactly alike. However, upon personalized orders you have the option to make a huge detailed piece or the opposite of more of a simpler, elegant look. Sketching has become a big part of our successes, while the days are full of hard work and establishing invoices, supply inventory, ect. We have been busy putting the web orders together as well as the orders being bought directly from our onsite store. The sketching has come in handy at the end of most work days, coming up with new ideas, colors, and arrangements to be photographed and published, and of course, Blogging has been a central detail to a mostly e – commerce business site. We are constanlt and consistently working with real estate professionals, vacation home owners, Doctors, Lawyers, Bankers, retirees ect. More and more everyday, we are learning that as a business we are catering to the earthy tone being set for calming atmospheres. I have some of the viewers suggesting how air freshening a 12 inch wreath would be to have on the front/ back dashboards of their cars!! While building e mail lists and contacts, we are finding that everyone is looking for something different, aside of that typical design that you see in most homes that is simple, plain and ordinary. The Wreaths from the wreath connection are the exact opposite. They are Aromatheraputic creatice a calming, more focused mind, while their aeshetics are finely hand detailed and made with time and craft. Today we are and have been, examining the ways to get our wreaths seen and discovered, as we are feeling more and more everyday that these wreaths are going to become a new trend in a new generation of home decor. Classy Elegant refreshing elements that are changing people as much is it is changing their homes.

Pride

The way that I look at the atmosphere around me, it speaks as a statement of… “This is who I am”. My Home in Florida, as I have mentioned in previous posts is an procclamation of all of the places in life in which I wish to travel someday. My home here in pennsylvania is covered in country style artifacts collected over many years. My bedroom here is done solely in all of the wreaths that are or were posted that were my favorite. It is a wonderful expression of aomeones pride when you can walk into their home and be able to tell of their pride for their family by being warm, inviting, peaceful, storytelling. I love to hand wall art. I would say that it makes or breaks a motif in someones home, but that is just my humble opinion. You see in homes, old fashioned, and you can see that they love earth, classy tones, they enjoy history and patriotism. Some people have a very modern decorators. They have decor that is very sheik, this tells me they like the cutting edge, risktakers, dealbreakers, and vogue. The packrat… this home tells me that they have always loved everything they have always had and have a deep appreciation for things, everything has a significance… kinda neat… kind of a bad habit at the same time..lol.. Some houses are both modern and country, the architecture in these homes is usually always key, however the smallest of homes can take on this traditional favorite. While there seems to be some old fashioned, it is combined with a balance of equal sheik which makes this family well- rounded, not a single corner to shave down… Innovative yet private… what does your home say about you??

Here is a picture of a kitchen I found off of the internet of a typical country home courtesy of Blogspot.com… the only thing it is missing is, a wreath! Enjoy-

“What doesn’t Kill you Makes you Stronger”

I have always found it interesting how life will hand you the most terrible day ever, and then turn around and make you the happiest person in the world. I am human, and like everyone else, I have bad days… The company stays consistently good, and always just feels as if it were all meant to be, but everything else has more strain on some days than others. I believe this is what is putting me in the direction of soul searching and establishing what it means to be independent again. When I have a bad day, I do all of my happiness excersizes, and then I step back to reflect on how far I have come since the last time something happen to make me sad ):

The great thing is that when things are good they are really great, and if life has taught me anything so far, it is that it’s too short to take anything or anyone for granted.  It makes me a bit more analytical of things maybe, but, it helps that next good day come so much faster. Vanna, a friend of the Wreath Connection, once told us to make a list of every good day, and every bad and to step back and compare the ratio. Since her wise practice suggestion we had decided for the last 3 months to test the theory and see if it pans out to try to fix some of the mistakes that may have casued the negative experiences… whether it be adequate preparation, procrastination, woulda, coulda, shoulda’s– Sure enough, first month was bad, second was better, and this month has been the best so far. Turns out, we never pay attention to the reasons we have bad days, and so the mistakes happen over and over until they are redeemed. So that saying is definitely true, we tested it, and statistically speaking… What doesn’t kill you… really does make you stronger!!!

Joyful Masterpieces

There is really nothing like recieving a special something from the heart. We all know that it takes a lot of time and effort to actually sit down and think through something creative to show someone that you care as opposed to going to the store and picking something off the shelf. But, its like that age-old term… What do you buy for someone that has everything??? I have some people close to me that are extremely hard to buy for, either it is because I don’t see them enough, or its just that I know that they have a prosperous lifestyle and if they want something… they would just go out and buy it themselves. The new line is exciting because I have crafted these new ones in such a way that you can actually see the time I put into them to personalize, and to make sure that they are all unique especially for that person who has everything… I can guarantee that even a craft addict is not going to have something as unique as these hanging already in their home. So the answer to your time given gift idea is… a wreath from the wreath connection. Not only are they carefully constructed with homemade potpourri, scented with highly researched oils and herbs for great health and pleasure…. but they are created with time, love, and skill, to ensure that special, meaningful expression without saying anything at all!!
